Synthesis and fluorescent properties of a new class of heterocycles of isoindole fused imidazoles with phenolic subunits
TL;DR: A new class of heterocycles of isoindole fused imidazoles with phenolic subunits has been readily synthesized by a two-step one-pot reaction and show high fluorescent properties but in protic polar solvent fluorescent intensity decreases.

Combining ability in sesame
Suven Das,T. Das Gupta +1 more
TL;DR: Combining ability studies on seed yield, yield components and oil content were conducted from an 8 x 8 half-diallel cross of sesame over two years and the variety B 9 was best general combiner for seed yield and its major components.

Facile acid-catalyzed condensation of 2-hydroxy-2,2'-biindan-1,1', 3,3'-tetrone with phenols, methoxyaromatic systems and enols
TL;DR: In this paper, various phenols, methoxy aromatic compounds, 3- and 4-hydroxycoumarins and enols smoothly condense with 2-hydrox-2,2′-biindan-1,1′, 3,3,3′-tetrone 1 in an acid medium producing 2-aryl/alkyl-2.

A simple synthesis of 4-substituted 2,3-benzoxazinones from C-2 arylated 1,3-indanediones
TL;DR: A simple one-pot procedure for the conversion of 2-Hydroxy-2-(2′-hydroxy-aryl)-1,3-indanediones to 4-substituted benzoxazinones has been developed and constitutes an interesting acid-catalyzed rearrangement followed by condensation with hydroxylamine.

Stereoselective synthesis of fused-, spiro- and bridged heterocycles via cyclization of isoquinolinium salts: a recent update.
TL;DR: This review highlights novel stereoselective strategies that emerged in the last few years for the synthesis of various fused-, spiro- and bridged heterocycles exploiting bench-stable or in situ generated isoquinolinium salts.
