Bipolar plate made of carbon fiber epoxy composite for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells
In Uk Hwang,HaNa Yu,Seong Su Kim,Dai Gil Lee,Jung Do Suh,Sung Ho Lee,Byung Ki Ahn,Sae Hoon Kim,Tae Won Lim +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a bipolar plate for automotive fuel cells was developed with carbon fiber composite by compression molding due to the fact that carbon/epoxy composite has not only high electrical and thermal conductivities, but also high specific stiffness and strength.

Separating plate for fuel cell stack and method of manufacturing the same
Kim Sae Hoon,Yoo Chang Yang,Sung Ho Lee,Jung Do Suh,Byung Ki Ahn,Lim Tae Won,Lee Dai Gil,Seong Su Kim,HaNa Yu,In-Wook Hwang,Byoung Chul Kim,Kwan Ho Lee,Yoon Soon Ho +12 more
- 27 Feb 2009
TL;DR: In this article, a separating plate for a fuel cell stack and a method of manufacturing the same is presented, in which the separating plate constituting the stack is formed in such a fashion as to interpose an array of metal pipes between two sheets of composite material, and a gasket abutting against the separation plate is formed to define hydrogen and air flow channels, thereby removing a contact resistance between two adjoining separating plates constituting unit cells to improve the efficiency of the fuel cell.
