An improved modal pushover analysis procedure for estimating seismic demands of structures

Undang-Undang Nomor 38 Tahun 2004 tentang Jalan dan Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2009 tentang Lalu lintas dan Angkutan Jalan mengamanatkan bahwa pengoperasian jalan umum dilakukan setelah dinyatakan memenuhi persyaratan laik fungsi secara teknis dan administrasi oleh Penyelenggara Jalan. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan penilaian kelaikan fungsi jalan adalah untuk memastikan bahwa jalan tersebut sesuai dengan standar kelaikan sehingga berkeselamatan bagi semua pengguna jalan. Jembatan sebagai bagian jalan mempunyai peranan cukup penting dalam menjaga ketersambungan antar jaringan jalan.  Akan tetapi, belum adanya parameter yang jelas dalam penilaian kelayakan struktur jembatan sebagai syarat penerimaan uji laik fungsi jalan menjadi suatu kendala. Pengujian jembatan dengan cara uji beban statik membutuhkan usaha yang cukup besar, baik secara biaya, waktu serta resiko terhadap struktur itu sendiri. Metode pengujian lain yang cukup efektif dan handal adalah dengan uji getar, dimana dapat secara langsung menggambarkan respons dan perilaku aktual dari struktur yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan perilaku struktur berdasarkan permodelan . Jembatan Kalikuto terletak pada ruas tol Semarang – Batang, Jawa Tengah merupakan bagian dari Jalan Tol Trans Jawa dengan bangunan atas berupa steel box arch bridge, memiliki bentang 100 meter dan lebar 32 meter. Sebelum dibuka untuk lalu lintas umum pada Desember 2018, telah dilakukan rangkaian pengujian unruk menilai kelaikan dari jembatan. Hasil uji getar diperoleh nilai frekuensi alami vertikal sebesar 1.251 Hz, dimana nilainya masih di atas nilai frekuensi pemodelan / teoritis sebesar 1.049 Hz, serta rasio redaman jembatan sebesar 2.10% - 3.88%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Jembatan Kalikuto layak secara keberfungsiannya dan handal secara struktur .

Advancement of technologies in the world of construction time is very fast, the use of concrete was applied not only on land but also in the area of extremes environmental such as regional seawater. One of the ways repair structures that were popular when this is by using a material CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) which has one advantage that is resistant to corrosion. The experimental study aims to investigate the effect of seawater pitch toward the strengthening of concrete reinforced using CFRP is done by way of immersion in seawater for 3, and 6 months with the different number of laminated CFRP. The specimen consists of 36 reinforced concrete beams with dimensions (150x150x750) mm which have been reinforced with CFRP in the bending area. Flexural testing is carried out with three points of loading using displacement control method. Results of the analysis showed occur decrease the capacity of the load maximum and ductility of concrete as long soaking; both concrete normal and concrete with reinforcement. In the beam of concrete with reinforcement 1 to 2 layers CFRP increase the strength value respectively 2,54%, 9,16% but three CFRP the strength same as the normal beam. The ductility of beam with one to two layers CFRP reinforcement increase value of 42,58%, 11,8% but when using three lamination CFRP decrease 18,47% compare with beam without reinforcement. The ductility with two layers CFRP immersion therapy for 3 and 6 months value decrease of 39,13%, 35,74%, while three layers CFRP immersion for 3 and 6 months the ductility increase again 4,7% and 16,67% compare with beam without immersion. The two layers is CFRP is the best reinforcement. Failure model that occur in all beams without reinforcement fail due to flexural, and the beams with CFRP reinforcement is CDC (Critical Diagonal Crack)

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) adalah jenis material perkuatan struktur yang tahan korosi, mempunyai kuat tarik yang  tinggi, superior dalam daktilitas, bobotnya ringan sehingga tidak memerlukan peralatan yang berat untuk membawanya ke lokasi. Seiring dengan tingkat kerusakan struktur yang membutuhkan perkuatan lebih untuk meningkatkan kapasitas, maka dibutuhkan alternatif jumlah lapisan CFRP yang efektif. Riset ini secara intensif melakukan pengujian terhadap kapasitas penggunaan CFRP berlapis banyak terhadap balok beton bertulang. Pengujian dilakukan dengan pembebanan secara statis dan sub-scale terhadap 18 balok beton dengan ukuran 100 x 150 x 750 mm. Spesimen akan dibagi dalam  6 (enam) kategori yaitu balok normal tanpa lapisan CFRP dan balok dengan 1, 2, 3, 4 dan 5 lapis CFRP. Uji yang dilakukan adalah uji lentur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan jumlah lapis CFRP pada daerah lentur tidak mengakibatkan peningkatan daktilitas beton namun terdapat peningkatan kuat lentur dari beton normal yang dilapisi CFRP dari lapis ke-1 hingga lapis ke-3 dan penambahan kuat lentur tidak bersifat linier. Perkuatan lentur dengan CFRP mengakibatkan kerusakan bergeser ke wilayah geser sehingga perlu dipertimbangkan perkuatan pada wilayah geser. Pada penambahan jumlah lapis CFRP harus diperhatikan mengenai keseimbangan antara kekuatan beton dengan jumlah lapis CFRP karena pada jumlah lapis ke-4 dan ke-5 beton hancur terlebih dahulu sebelum CFRP mengalami kerusakan.

In the construction process either for multy story building or structure with large horizontal coverage area, the selection of formwork construction is very essential. The acceleration of assemblying – deassemblying – reassemblying and re-use of formwork become one of the alternatif selection for the type of formwork. Analysis of the formwork subject to service load (self weight and impact load) is compulsory to avoid unexpected failure. Selection of the best construction method and site conditioning according to the design, especially for pouring the concrete in a sloping area, is very crucial since it does not only influence time construction, but also type of material, equipment, and service load during the construction. Analysis method used was comparing service load (self weight and impact load) to scaffolding capacity provided by the manufacture. The Sei Dareh Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge located in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The bridge, has a main span of 123 meters length and 9 meters wide, crosses the Batanghari River. Traffic load is transmitted through 4 prestressed cables to a 42.4 meter high pylon made of concrete. Bridge deck and traffic loads are directly supported by steel box girders as main beams that are reinforced laterally with cross beams IWF 800.300.16.24 and stringers IWF 350.350.12.19. This paper discusses static and dynamic testing on the bridge which aims to assess the feasibility before it is opened for public. Based on the test, it was concluded that the 73% static load could not be achieved because the deflection that occurred was beyond the allowable deflection. This is exacerbated by the sound of a loud clanging sound on the ST2-X1 prestressed cable when loading to 240 tons or 58% of the targeted load. In addition, this bridge is included in the "lazy bridge" category because it takes 24 hours to return to an undeformed condition after loading. As a recommendation for this bridge, it is necessary to carry out a structural health monitoring system (SHMS) regularly on the vehicle floor and cables.

To take into account higher-mode effects in pushover analysis for estimating the seismic demands of high-rise building structures, the multimode load pattern (MLP) procedure has been proposed. The multimode load pattern analyses were carried out with the force distributions using mode-shapes obtained from Eigen-analysis of linearly elastic structure and the pushover analysis were done consecutively, such that first mode pushover analysis has performed, the next mode begins with the initial structural stage (stress and deformation) which is the same as the condition at the end of previous stage. Predictions based on single mode and response spectrum analysis procedures were also presented for the sake of comparison to those obtained by the MLP procedure. The implication of using multimode and single mode in MLP analysis, the higher modes in the MLP analysis strongly affect the responses at the mid and upper storey of tall building structures, contrary to the lower storey thus gives better prediction of storey drift and plastic hinge for mid and upper storey. From the comparison to each capacity curves in term of analysis procedure performance, MLP gives better results to describe the structure performance in handling earthquake force.
