A comparative study on routing protocols for VANETs.
Suman Malik,Prasant Kumar Sahu +1 more
TL;DR: The overall performance evaluation of two existing routing protocols namely, Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) for VANETs shows that a combination of proper channel model together with an efficient routing protocol enhance the link throughput of the VANet for a fixed network size.

Performance analysis of a UAV-based IRS-assisted hybrid RF/FSO link with pointing and phase shift errors
TL;DR: An alternate implementation of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based IRS-assisted hybrid free space optics/radio frequency wireless communications is presented and closed-form expressions of the average symbol error rate and spectral efficiency of the considered system are derived under the combined effects of atmospheric turbulence, pointing error, and phase shift error.

Free space optics/millimeter-wave based vertical and horizontal terrestrial backhaul network for 5G
Suman Malik,Prasant Kumar Sahu +1 more
TL;DR: Numerical and analytical results are used to analyze the performance of the proposed free space optics/millimeter-wave based vertical and horizontal terrestrial backhaul network under different adverse weather conditions, such as the atmospheric turbulence and attenuation.

Performance Analysis of Free Space Optical Communication System Using Different Modulation Schemes over Weak to Strong Atmospheric Turbulence Channels
Suman Malik,Prasant Kumar Sahu +1 more
- 01 Jan 2020
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of an optical wireless communication system and reported the achievable BER and average channel capacity using different modulation schemes such as on-off keying, quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), and pulse position modulation (PPM).

M-ary phase-shift keying-based single-input-multiple-output free space optical communication system with pointing errors over a gamma-gamma fading channel.
Suman Malik,Prasant Kumar Sahu +1 more
TL;DR: The outage probability and spectral efficiency of the proposed SIMO-FSO system with MRC technique improved significantly, and the effect of turbulence and pointing errors on BER is indicated.
