The use of technology roadmaps for the scientific and technological development of the airspace industry is justified due to the need to react to a large number of technological challenges and threats, which have been emerging over the last years and negatively impacting the companies and organization of the space industry. These conditions dictate the need to find efficient tools for managing the aerospace industry. Technology roadmaps belong to these tools. The study aims to prove the feasibility of using technology roadmaps as an efficient tool for managing aerospace industry development. The methods of the study include the opportunity analysis and the synthesis of the analysis results. As a result of the study, technology roadmaps are differentiated by location, industry, subject; the requirements to the content and the procedure for developing, integrating, and monitoring technology roadmaps are validated. Currently, technology roadmaps are increasingly used in strategic management on different management tiers: inter-industry, industry, company, and organization. A roadmap is a key tool of innovation activity. Possibility and justification of the practical application of technology roadmaps in the aerospace industry

A system of indicators that includes methods and techniques for observing, recording, monitoring, characterizing and assessing the status and development stages of of various processes has been designed to assess the effectiveness of the technological roadmap implementation. The own set of indicators is used at each step of constructing a technological map. Implementation efficiency is assessed using a complex/integrated indicator.

The mechanism for evaluating the results of the technological roadmaps implementation

The introduction into practice of modern approaches to managing the life cycle of high-tech aerospace engineering products is accompanied by a wide range of managerial innovations in various areas of management. First of all, project management, which is currently showing a number of new trends, should be noted. Differentiation and detailing of phases and stages of the life cycle is manifested in the complication of the management structure of a high-tech program. Moreover, due to the diversity of the nature of the products being created within the framework of existing standards, it is necessary to ensure a certain flexibility in management decisions. So in foreign practice, despite the fact that the common decision-making points and control points of science-intensive programs are standardized, the authority approving them is to some extent free to develop effective and efficient program structuring. This includes eliminating, if necessary, individual phases and combining or eliminating stages and decision points, unless the regulatory framework provides otherwise. Each base model adapts to the dominant characteristics of the purchased product. It is possible to create hybrid models of program management that take into account the diverse nature of development. One of the systemic issues is the introduction of the concept of milestones: key events in the life cycle (LC) of a program whose function is to verify the process and the result of work in its phases, fulfillment of goals and decision-making on further actions. The transition from the completely completed previous phase to the next is carried out sequentially – through the passage of an intermediate milestone, playing the role of a kind of "gate".

The Wildlife Health Bridge was established in 2009 with the aim of improving the expertise and knowledge base of wildlife health professionals in biodiverse low- and middle-income countries. The Wildlife Health Bridge centres around partnerships among educational institutions: the Zoological Society of London, the Royal Veterinary College, the University of Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, the Wildlife Institute of India, and the University of Melbourne Veterinary School. The Wildlife Health Bridge provides quality education in wildlife health, ecosystem health, and wildlife biology, facilitates the interchange of students between collaborating countries for research studies and provides a global graduate network of wildlife health professionals. In addition to established Masters’ level wildlife health training programmes run by the partner organisations, the Wildlife Health Bridge has developed a collaborative field-based course, Interventions in Wild Animal Health, provided annually in India since 2016, which has trained 138 veterinarians to date, enhancing local and international capacity in managing emerging wildlife health issues and building global professional linkages. The Wildlife Health Bridge’s Wild Animal Alumni network facilitates networking and exchange between Wildlife Health Bridge institutions and graduates, with over 701 members from 67 countries, half of which are biodiverse low- and middle-income countries. Collaboration between educational institutions has enabled new ideas and ongoing developments in the delivery of materials and learning outcomes. The Wildlife Health Bridge is building global capacity in trained wildlife health professionals, through educational programmes and a synergised network, with the aim of impacting conservation practice to benefit human, domestic animal and wildlife health.
