TL;DR: In this paper, a hard and critical look on the impact of colonialism and its concomitant ally, imperialism on the African state is presented, revealing that the present primary role of African states in the international world economy as the dominant sources of raw materials and major consumers of manufactured products are the results of long years of colonial dominance, exploitation and imperialism.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors took a hard and critical look on the past and present efforts of the Nigerian Governments on rural industrialization and development as a panacea to rural poverty in the country, and concluded that rural development in Nigeria since 1960-2010 had remained a paradox, because the more efforts the government claims to make on rural development the worse the level of poverty in rural areas turns out to be.
Impact of Fuel Price Increaseon the Nigerian Economy
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors adopted a survey research design approach to evaluate the level of effect the fuel price increase has on the Nigeria economy and found that there is a significant relationship between the recent increases in fuel prices and economic growth in Nigeria.
