TL;DR: The MapStats for Kids project includes work toward assessing the usability of the applications being developed and toward matching the applications with specific learning objectives, and the extensible nature of these applications is an important feature, allowing the applications to be tailored to complement a variety of curricula.

TL;DR: This demonstration will include four of these online learning activities, each focusing on national education standards and cognitive and knowledge abilities of middle school children, and introduce the MapStats for Kids portal which provides access to these applications as well as to supplemental materials that will help educators make use of the applications within standards-based learning activities.
