TL;DR: Physiologic, hematologic, and imaging data show not only the presence of a hypercoagulable phenotype in severe COVID-19 pneumonia but also markedly impaired pulmonary perfusion likely caused by pulmonary angiopathy and thrombosis.

TL;DR: The numbers of pregnant and peripartum women with severe COVID-19 disease increased during the second wave, and it appears that more of these individuals are requiring admission to intensive care and are being considered for ECMO.
