Rapid hyperpolarization and purification of the metabolite fumarate in aqueous solution.
Stephan Knecht,John W. Blanchard,Danila A. Barskiy,Eleonora Cavallari,Laurynas Dagys,Erik van Dyke,Maksim Tsukanov,Bea Bliemel,Kerstin Münnemann,Silvio Aime,Francesca Reineri,Malcolm H. Levitt,Gerd Buntkowsky,Alexander Pines,Peter Blümler,Dmitry Budker,James Eills +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the hyperpolarized fumarate can be purified from these contaminants by acid precipitation as a pure solid, and later redissolved to a desired concentration in a clean aqueous solvent.
Liquid-state carbon-13 hyperpolarization generated in an MRI system for fast imaging.
Andreas B. Schmidt,Stephan Berner,Stephan Berner,W. Schimpf,Christoph W. Müller,Christoph W. Müller,T. Lickert,Niels Schwaderlapp,Stephan Knecht,Jason G. Skinner,A. Dost,Philipp Rovedo,Jürgen Hennig,D. von Elverfeldt,Jan-Bernd Hövener +14 more
TL;DR: As transfer of the tracer is no longer required, SAMBADENA may permit a higher polarization at the time of detection at a fraction of the cost and complexity of external polarizers.
Instrumentation for Hydrogenative Parahydrogen-Based Hyperpolarization Techniques.
Andreas B. Schmidt,Clifford R. Bowers,K. Buckenmaier,Eduard Y. Chekmenev,Henri de Maissin,James Eills,Frowin Ellermann,Stefan Glöggler,Jeremy W. Gordon,Stephan Knecht,Igor V. Koptyug,Andrey N. Pravdivtsev,Francesca Reineri,Thomas Theis,Kolja Them,Jan-Bernd Hövener +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper , pH2 polarizers are used to add pH2 to pH2 generators and spin-order transfer (SOT) to accelerate the process of pH2 generator operation.

In Vivo Metabolic Imaging of [1-13C]Pyruvate-d3 Hyperpolarized By Reversible Exchange With Parahydrogen.
Henri de Maissin,Moritz Schillinger Hannes Weigt,Luca Nagel,Zirun Wang,R. Willing,Wilfried Reichardt,M. Pichotka,Thomas Reinheckel,Henning J. Jessen,Robert Zeiser,Michael Bock,Dominik von Elverfeldt,Maxim Zaitsev,Sergey Korchak,Stefan Glöggler,Jan-Bernd Hövener,Eduard Y. Chekmenev,Franz Schilling,Stephan Knecht,Andreas B. Schmidt +19 more
- 13 Jul 2023
TL;DR: In this article , the authors presented a method to produce aqueous HP [1-13C]pyruvate-d3 for injection in 6 minutes using Signal Amplification By Reversible Exchange (SABRE).

Continuous Re‐hyperpolarization of Nuclear Spins Using Parahydrogen: Theory and Experiment
Jan-Bernd Hövener,Jan-Bernd Hövener,Stephan Knecht,Niels Schwaderlapp,Jürgen Hennig,Dominik von Elverfeldt +5 more
TL;DR: A distinct distribution of polarization is found, which shares some features with experimental data and, interestingly, does not directly correspond to the loss of the singlet order of para-H2.
