Fabrication of Biomimetic Fog-Collecting Superhydrophilic–Superhydrophobic Surface Micropatterns Using Femtosecond Lasers
TL;DR: High-contrast wetting patterns collected the highest amount of fog and enhanced the fog-collection efficiency by nearly 60% compared to pristine Pyrex glass, showing that the superior fog- collection efficiency of surface patterns with extreme wetting contrast is due to the combination of water attraction and water repellency.

A simple fabrication process for disposable interdigitated electrode arrays with nanogaps for lab-on-a-chip applications
TL;DR: In this paper, a lift-off free fabrication sequence for interdigitated electrode arrays (IDA) with nanogaps on polymer substrates is presented. But the fabrication sequence is based on a liftoff free process and therefore, reduces the number of process steps and simplifies the fabrication and increases the yield.

Juergen Ramm,Beno Widrig,Stephan Kasemann,Marcelo Dornelles Pimenta,Orlaw Massler,Barbara Hanselmann +5 more
- 28 Apr 2008
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a vacuum treatment method for carrying out a plasma method, wherein the treatment is carried out in a vacuum chamber, in which are disposed a device for generating an electric low voltage arc discharge (NVBE) comprised of a cathode and an anode electrically interconnectable with the cathode via an arc generator, and a workpiece carrier electrically connected with a bias generator for receiving and moving workpieces.

Novel fabrication process for sub-micron interdigitated electrode arrays for highly sensitive electrochemical detection
Stefan Partel,Stefan Partel,Stephan Kasemann,P. Choleva,Can Dincer,Jochen Kieninger,Gerald Urban +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a fabrication approach that allows electrode spacing in the sub-micrometer region by using standard equipment such as UV Mask Aligner, physical vapor deposition and diffusion furnace.

Impedimetric Characterization of Interdigitated Electrode Arrays for Biosensor Applications
Elisabeth Kostal,Stephan Kasemann,Can Dincer,Stefan Partel +3 more
- 30 Nov 2018
TL;DR: In this article, the results of the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements for interdigitated electrode arrays (IDAs) ranging from several micrometers down to hundreds of nanometers.
