TL;DR: In this article, the authors collected 19.4 days of data from four 750g TeO2 bolometers, and in three of them they were able to set the energy threshold around 3 keV using a new analysis technique.
Search for α decay of naturally occurring Hf-nuclides using a Cs2HfCl6 scintillator
V. Caracciolo,S.S. Nagorny,P. Belli,R. Bernabei,F. Cappella,R. Cerulli,A. Incicchitti,M. Laubenstein,V. Merlo,Stefano Nisi,Peng Wang +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results of direct studies of the α decay of naturally occurring Hf isotopes that have been performed using the source-detector approach are presented, in 2848 h of data taking, the alpha decay of 174 Hf was observed with T = 1/2(7.0±1.2)×1016 y.

Uranium groundwater anomalies and active normal faulting
Wolfango Plastino,G. F. Panza,G. F. Panza,Carlo Doglioni,Ml Frezzotti,Angelo Peccerillo,P. De Felice,Francesco Bella,P. P. Povinec,Stefano Nisi,L. Ioannucci,P Aprili,M. Balata,Ml Cozzella,Matthias Laubenstein +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, it is shown that uranium groundwater anomalies, which were observed in cataclastic rocks crossing the underground Gran Sasso National Laboratory, can be used as a possible strain meter in domains where continental lithosphere is subducted.
