A critical assessment of the metal content of the intracluster medium
S. Molendi,Dominique Eckert,Dominique Eckert,S. De Grandi,Stefano Ettori,Fabio Gastaldello,Fabio Gastaldello,Simona Ghizzardi,G. W. Pratt,M. Rossetti,M. Rossetti +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used published abundance profiles for a sample of ~60 nearby systems to estimate the metal content of the intracluster medium (ICM) in massive clusters and found that the mean abundance of the ICM within r 180 is very poorly constrained, 0.06 Z⊙ ≲ Z ≲ 0.26 Z ⊙ and presents no disagreement with expectations.
Exploring the spectral properties of radio relics – I: integrated spectral index and Mach number
D. Wittor,Stefano Ettori,Franco Vazza,Franco Vazza,K. Rajpurohit,K. Rajpurohit,Matthias Hoeft,P Domínguez-Fernández +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the cosmological code ENZO to simulate a sample of galaxy clusters that host radio relics, and computed the radio Mach number from the integrated radio spectrum and the X-ray Mach number for each relic, and found that the differences in the Mach number estimates follow from the way in which different observables are related to different parts of the underlying Mach number distribution.

Sloshing cold fronts in galaxy groups and their perturbing disk galaxies: an X-ray, Optical and Radio Case Study
Fabio Gastaldello,Fabio Gastaldello,L. Di Gesu,L. Di Gesu,Simona Ghizzardi,Simona Giacintucci,Simona Giacintucci,Marisa Girardi,Marisa Girardi,Elke Roediger,Elke Roediger,M. Rossetti,M. Rossetti,Fabrizio Brighenti,Fabrizio Brighenti,David A. Buote,Dominique Eckert,Stefano Ettori,P. J. Humphrey,William G. Mathews +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, a combined X-ray, optical, and radio analysis of the galaxy group IC 1860 using the currently available Chandra and XMM data, literature multi-object spectroscopy data and GMRT data is presented.
Abell 611. II. X-ray and strong lensing analyses
A. Donnarumma,Stefano Ettori,Massimo Meneghetti,Raphael Gavazzi,Bernard Fort,Lauro Moscardini,A. Romano,Liping Fu,Francesco Giordano,Mario Radovich,Roberto Maoli,Roberto Scaramella,Johan Richard +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the results of their analyses of the X-ray emission and of the strong lensing systems in the galaxy cluster Abell 611 [z = 0.288].
Chandra detection of the intracluster medium around 3C294 at z=1.786
TL;DR: In this paper, Chandra observations of the powerful radio galaxy 3C294 showed clear evidence for a surrounding intracluster medium, which has an hour-glass shape in the N-S direction, extending to radii of at least 100 kpc, well beyond the radio source.
