Gold(I) Complexes of Tetrathiaheterohelicene Phosphanes
Silvia Cauteruccio,Annette Loos,Alberto Bossi,Maria Camila Blanco Jaimes,D. Dova,Frank Rominger,Stefan Prager,Andreas Dreuw,Emanuela Licandro,A. Stephen K. Hashmi +9 more
TL;DR: New tetrathia[7]helicene-based (7-TH-based) gold(I) complexes 6 and 7 have been readily prepared by reaction of the respective phosphine ligands 2 and 3 with Au(tht)Cl in a 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratio, respectively.

Tetrathia[7]helicene Phosphorus Derivatives: Experimental and Theoretical Investigations of Electronic Properties, and Preliminary Applications as Organocatalysts
D. Dova,Lucia Viglianti,Patrizia R. Mussini,Stefan Prager,Andreas Dreuw,Arnaud Voituriez,Emanuela Licandro,Silvia Cauteruccio +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a combined experimental and theoretical study on the electronic characteristics of tetrathiahelicene (7-TH) alkyl and aryl phosphorus derivatives, including phosphanes, phosphine-borane complexes, and phosphine oxides, is described.

An unconventional helical push-pull system for solar cells
D. Dova,Silvia Cauteruccio,Norberto Manfredi,Stefan Prager,Andreas Dreuw,Serena Arnaboldi,Patrizia R. Mussini,Emanuela Licandro,Alessandro Abbotto +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a push-pull dye with an unconventional nonplanar tetrathiahelicene π−spacer between the donor-acceptor groups is reported.

Chiral Thiahelicene-Based Alkyl Phosphine–Borane Complexes: Synthesis, X-ray Characterization, and Theoretical and Experimental Investigations of Optical Properties
TL;DR: State-of-the-art quantum chemical calculations of vibrationally resolved spectra allow, for the first time, for an unambiguous assignment of the experimentally observed peaks in linear absorption and circular dichroism spectra to excited electronic states of this class of thiahelicene phosphorus derivatives.
