A new function for fatigue curves characterization and its multiple merits
Jan Kohout,Stanislav Vechet +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new function is proposed for the description of fatigue curves in both low and high-cycle fatigue regions, i.e. for the whole region of cycles from tensile strength to permanent fatigue limit.

Fatigue lifetime of adi from ultimate tensile strength to permanent fatigue limit
TL;DR: In this article, the S-N curve of austempered ductile iron was obtained in the range of lifetime including low cycle fatigue domain and high cycle fatiguedomain up to 108 cycles.
Fatigue Properties of Austempered Ductile Iron in Dependence on Transformation Temperature
Stanislav Vechet,Jan Kohout,Lenka Klakurkova +2 more
- 01 Jan 2008
TL;DR: In this article, a study of interrelations among the conditions of isothermal transformation, resulting structure of ADI matrix and its static as well as fatigue behavior was performed in the range from 380 °C to 500 °C and fatigue properties of obtained structure were studied in detail determining S-N curves in high cycle region.

Some Estimations of Tolerance Bands of S-N Curves
Jan Kohout,Stanislav Vechet +1 more
- 01 Jan 2008
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a regression function called the Castillo function, which is suitable only for high-cycle fatigue region close to fatigue limit, and used it for the estimation of S-N curves.

Shift of s-n curves of ferritic nodular cast iron due to loading cycle asymmetry
J. Kohout,S. Vechet,Jan Kohout,Stanislav Vechet +3 more
- 01 Jan 2008
TL;DR: For instance, Walker and Stormeyer as mentioned in this paper used the concept of negative energy to describe the negative energy of a negative energy in a positive energy equation and showed that negative energy can be a good energy indicator for negative energy.
