Environmental assessment of the effects of a municipal landfill on the content and distribution of heavy metals in Tanacetum vulgare L.
Dana Adamcová,Maja Radziemska,Andrea Ridošková,Stanislav Bartoň,Pavlína Pelcová,Jakub Elbl,Jindřich Kynický,Martin Brtnický,Magdalena Daria Vaverková +8 more
TL;DR: The enrichment coefficient for the plant/soil system was used for determining the environmental contamination from a landfill in terms of heavy metal accumulation, and iron achieved the highest values in the samples.

Analytical Modelling of MSW Landfill Surface Displacement Based on GNSS Monitoring
Dana Adamcová,Stanislav Bartoň,Piotr Osiński,Grzegorz Pasternak,Anna Podlasek,Magdalena Daria Vaverková,Eugeniusz Koda +6 more
TL;DR: A new model allowing landfill body displacements simulation based on monitoring datasets applying a Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) measurement is proposed, which employs Gauss-Newton iteration and Runge-Kutta methods to estimate landfill surface displacements.

Soil contaminations in landfill: a case study of the landfill in Czech Republic
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of a phytotoxicity test was determined to assess ecotoxicity of landfill soil samples, which were taken from the landfill 15 body, edge of the landfill body and its vicinity meet the limits for heavy metals Co, Cd, Pb, 16 and Zn.
New algorithm for biological objects' shape evaluation and data reduction
TL;DR: The presented algorithm enables reduction of number of vertexes to 10 % of its original extent with acceptable accuracy +/− one pixel (distance between initial and fi nal polygon) and can be used for processing of similar types of 2D images and acceleration of following computations.

Driver's influence on kinematics of articulated bus
Tomáš Krumpholc,Stanislav Bartoň +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived integral relations describing trajectory of the middle axes midpoint as a function of the absolute value of the velocity and trajectory curvature and computed joint trajectory and differential equation describing relation between joint position and position of the rear - towed axle.
