Efficient Redox-Mediator-Free Z-Scheme Water Splitting Employing Oxysulfide Photocatalysts under Visible Light
Song Sun,Song Sun,Takashi Hisatomi,Qian Wang,Shanshan Chen,Guijun Ma,Jingyuan Liu,Swarnava Nandy,Tsutomu Minegishi,Masao Katayama,Kazunari Domen +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a Z-scheme-type photocatalyst sheet with BiVO4 was constructed and the formation of a La5Ti2Cu0.9Ag0.1S5O7 solid solution was shown to enhance the water-splitting activity.

La5Ti2Cu0.9Ag0.1S5O7 Modified with a Molecular Ni Catalyst for Photoelectrochemical H2 Generation
Timothy E. Rosser,Timothy E. Rosser,Takashi Hisatomi,Takashi Hisatomi,Song Sun,Song Sun,Daniel Antón-García,Tsutomu Minegishi,Erwin Reisner,Kazunari Domen,Kazunari Domen +10 more
TL;DR: The combination of a phosphonated molecular Ni catalyst with a TiO2‐coated La5Ti2Cu0.1S5O7 photocathode for visible light driven H2 production provides a positive onset potential, large photocurrents, and high Faradaic yield for more than three hours.

Effects of Se Incorporation in La5Ti2CuS5O7 by Annealing on Physical Properties and Photocatalytic H2 Evolution Activity.
Swarnava Nandy,Takashi Hisatomi,Song Sun,Song Sun,Masao Katayama,Tsutomu Minegishi,Kazunari Domen,Kazunari Domen +7 more
TL;DR: Water splitting was achieved by constructing photocatalyst sheets using LTCSO:Se and LTCS1- xSe xO as hydrogen evolution photocatalysts and BiVO4 as an oxygen evolution photocatsalysts, and the apparent quantum yield at shorter wavelengths was reduced.
