- 05 Aug 2019
TL;DR: In this article, two distinct multiferroic composites are taken into account, and an analytical technique is applied to study the shear horizontal (SH) wave propagation in a layered pre-stressed rotating cylindrical tube structure consisting of a PE layer which is wrapped on PM material having an imperfect interface.

Reflection and transmission of quasi-plane waves at the interface of piezoelectric semiconductors with initial stresses
TL;DR: In this article, the reflection and transmission properties of quasi-longitudinal plane (QP) waves in an AlN-ZnO laminated composite structure were investigated and the algebraic equations were obtained by imposing boundary conditions on the common interface of the laminated structure.

Analysis of wave scattering in 3-layer piezo composite structure [Pb[ZrxTi1-x]O3-ALN-Pb[ZrxTi1-x]O3]
TL;DR: In this paper, an analytical model has been considered to study the scattering phenomenon of the quasiplane wave in functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM) layer sandwiched between two similar Piezoele components.

Short Communication: Trade-off between ordinary differential equation and Legendre polynomial methods to study guided modes in angle-ply laminate
TL;DR: In this paper , the Legendre polynomial method is used to handle the laminate modeling over the ODE method for these specific requirements, however, a trade-off between these two methods needs to be considered to obtain stable and robust behavior of guided dispersion curves.

Mathematical Analysis of Rayleigh Waves at the Nonplanner Boundary between Orthotropic and Micropolar Media
TL;DR: In this article , the authors used mathematical analysis to investigate Rayleigh wave transference in an orthotropic layer and found that the corrugation present in the structure has an influential impact on the velocity of the propagating wave.
