In this qualitative research, the focus was the strategy SD Pusri in Improving the quality of teachers and education personnel, quality of facilities and infrastructure and quality of management. The results obtained in this study indicate that SD Pusri strategy in improving the quality of educators and educational personnel through routine supervision of principals, delegation of authority, training, upgrading, seminars, technical guidance, workshops, and training, and to evaluate the performance of educators and educational staff offset by rewards. The strategy on improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure was done by coordinating through the early budgetary meetings, gradual fulfillment of facilities, comparative study and fulfillment the computer facilities. For management strategies, SD Pusri performed planning, program implementation and evaluation activities. The findings obtained by the Principal tend to use the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the management process. Starting from the process of admission until the new graduation involving all parties. In addition, schools are always oriented to the satisfaction of school residents both internally and externally and the school together continuously in the form of improving the quality of education through various activities involving the school community. Besides being supported by parents and the community, the school also has good facilities from Yayasan Sosial Pendidikan (YSP) Pusri. Index Terms: Strategy, Quality of Education, SD Pusri

The Strategy Of SD Pusri In Improving Educational Quality

This research aimed at investigating the students' motivation in English learning as a second language. The method used was a survey by randomly asking the students in Pritchard English Academy (PEACE) to fill out a questionnaire which adapted from Attitude Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) designed by R.C. Gardner. The questionnaire was administered to a group of 30 students who come from intermediate until advanced level. The data were analyzed by using SPPS program. It was used to find out mean score and standard deviation. The main findings show that the students are relative “highly” motivated and found to be slightly more “instrumentally” motivated to learn English. This reveals that instrumental motivation is a significant factor among this group of students learning English. Based on this study's findings, some relevant and useful motivational learning implications are recommended for enhancement and improvement of the students' motivation.

An analysis of students motivation toward English learning as second language among students in Pritchard English academy (PEACE)

This study aims to describe the teachers' perception on the implementation of the assessment process in 2013 curriculum. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of the research are the Elementary school principals and elementary school teachers in Denpasar. Research data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation which were analyzed descriptively by using the interactive technique. The interactive analysis was done by collecting data, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of data analysis showed that the teachers prepared the lesson plans prior to implementing the teaching and learning processes in the classroom. The lesson plans consist of the rubric of attitude assessment, knowledge assessment, and social assessment. The attitude competence assessment consists of spiritual and social attitudes. The assessment of the attitude competence is done by doing observation, self-assessment, peer assessment, and teacher's journal. The assessment of knowledge competence was done by administrating written test, oral test, and also written an assignment. The students' competencies were assessed by conducting performance assessment. The results of the assessment were written descriptively on the students' learning report by describing the student's ability to detail. Most teachers stated that the assessment in 2013 curriculum is quite good because it provides an attitude assessment, including the aspect of the spiritual and social, knowledge aspects, and skills aspects. There were some obstacles found by teachers in conducting the assessment, such as, limited time that teachers have in observing students' social attitudes and writing the results of the assessment that require a lot of time to describe the students' abilities.

The success on the development of tourism in a tourist destination depends on the role/participation of tourism stakeholders in the area. Similarly, in the development of rural tourism in the Pakraman Jasri Village. Since the beginning or the planning of tourism development in this village until the time of its development, the tourism stakeholders, namely the local community, government, and investors in this village have been actively and directly involved in supporting the development of Jasri Tourism Village. This writing aims at knowing and understanding the role of tourism stakeholders in Jasri Tourism Village which considered have played the important role in developing tourism in the village. This research was conducted by using the qualitative method in accordance with the rules of scientific research and the paradigm of Cultural Studies. The result of the study showed that the role of tourism stakeholders can be seen in the early planning of Jasri Tourism Village and in the development of Jasri Tourism Village. The tourism stakeholders at Jasri Village have done some efforts to make sure that the development of Jasri Tourism Village will be a success and able to give a significant impact, particularly in improving the welfare of the local society of the Pakraman Village of Jasri in the future time.

The renewable energy resources are particularly suited for the provision of rural power supplies and a major advantage is that equipment such as flat plate solar driers, wind machines, etc., can be constructed using local resources. Without the advantage results from the feasibility of local maintenance and the general encouragement, such local manufacture gives to the buildup of a small-scale rural-based industry. This communication comprises a comprehensive review of energy sources, the environment, and sustainable development. It includes the renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency systems, energy conservation scenarios, energy savings in greenhouses environment and other mitigation measures necessary to reduce climate change. This study gives some examples of small-scale energy converters, nevertheless, it should be noted that small conventional, i.e., engines are currently the major source of power in rural areas and will continue to be so for a long time to come.

Awareness for quality education, studies in English medium schools, girl’s education promotion, participation in activities, advance teaching pedagogy, learning by activities, expense on education, family support are current socio economic trends.
