Structural analysis of the PATZ1 BTB domain homodimer
Sofia Piepoli,Aaron Alt,Canan Atilgan,Erika J. Mancini,Batu Erman +4 more
- 01 Jun 2020
TL;DR: The crystal structures of the PATZ1 BTB domains from mammals and fish contain homodimers and the core dimer conformation of these BTB proteins is dynamically stable, despite the presence of highly flexible regions in the dimerization interface.
Dimerization Choice and Alternative Functions of ZBTB Transcription Factors.
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors explore molecular mechanisms that potentially diversify the function of ZBTB proteins based on their homo and heterodimerization, alternative splicing and post translational modifications.

Structural Analysis of the PATZ1 BTB domain homodimer
TL;DR: The crystal structures of the PATZ1 BTB domain in mammals and fish are homodimers and reveal that the core dimer conformation of these BTB proteins is dynamically stable, despite the presence of highly flexible regions in the dimerization interface.
