TL;DR: In this article , a multidimensional study of the clinical, histological and molecular features of these subtypes is lacking, and two large cohorts of patients were recruited in an international, observational multicentre study: a retrospective cohort of patients with never-decompensated ALD (ndALD) and a prospective cohort of alcohol-related hepatitis (AH) patients.

Hepatitis B and C prevalence in Portugal: disparity between the general population and high-risk groups.
TL;DR: The results suggest a low endemicity for both hepatitis B and hepatitis C in the general population, in contrast to a very high prevalence in risk groups, thus suggesting that targeted screening to high-risk groups may be more cost-effective than general population screening.

TL;DR: In spite of a high prevalence rate, there was no evidence that decreased VD serum levels were associated with hepatic steatosis, and no significant correlation was found between VD dietary ingestion and VD plasma levels.
