Bio-sequestration of carbon dioxide using carbonic anhydrase enzyme purified from Citrobacter freundii
Rishiram Ramanan,Krishnamurthi Kannan,Saravanadevi Sivanesan,Sandeep N. Mudliar,Simarjot Kaur,Anil Kumar Tripathi,Tapan Chakrabarti +6 more
TL;DR: The effect of host on metal ions, cations and anions which influence activity of the enzyme in sequestration studies suggests that mercury and HCO3− ion almost completely inhibit the enzyme whereas sulfate ion and zinc enhances carbonic anhydrase activity.

Oxidative Homeostasis Regulates the Response to Reductive Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress through Translation Control.
Shuvadeep Maity,Asher Rajkumar,Latika Matai,Ajay Bhat,Asmita Ghosh,Ganesh Agam,Simarjot Kaur,Niraj R. Bhatt,Arnab Mukhopadhyay,Shantanu Sengupta,Kausik Chakraborty +10 more
TL;DR: A non-canonical translation attenuation mechanism that acts in a bipartite manner to selectively downregulate highly expressed proteins, decoupling the cell's transcriptional and translational response during reductive ER stress is uncovered.

CO2 adsorption on oxygen enriched nanostructured carbons derived from silica templated resorcinol-formaldehyde
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe oxygen enriched nanostructured carbons synthesized from nanocasting technique using mesoporous silica as template and resorcinol-formaldehyde as precursor.

Diversity of Microbial Carbonic Anhydrases, Their Physiological Role and Applications
Simarjot Kaur,Abhishek Bhattacharya,Anjana Sharma,Anil Kumar Tripathi +3 more
- 01 Jan 2012
TL;DR: A novel biomimetic approach for CO2 scrubbing using CA provides a viable means to accelerate CO2-hydration reaction and has been found to be feasible for fixing large quantities of CO2 into calcium carbonate in presence of suitable cations at moderate pH values in vitro, suggesting potential as a stable CO2 capture technology.

TrustCircle: a novel trust framework for creating a personalised recommender system that helps evaluate trustworthiness in sharing economy services
Jayati Bandyopadhyay,Nupur Labh,Simarjot Kaur,Arun Rajkumar,Sourav Bhattacharya,Saurabh Srivastava +5 more
- 01 Nov 2019
TL;DR: A trust framework is proposed that helps structure factors essential in evaluating trustworthiness of peers and services they offer or seek and is applied to build a recommender system that learns user-specific dynamic trust profile and provides personalized trustworthy recommendations.
