Tolerance of Sesbania virgata plants to flooding

TL;DR: It is suggested that sesbania plants are tolerant to flooding, because they can survive being submerged for 56 days, particularly in steps catalysed by the enzymes pyruvate decarboxylase and alcohol dehydrogenase.
