A novel limonin derivate modulates inflammatory response by suppressing the TLR4/NF-κB signalling pathway.
Shuwei Jin,Jingqi Wang,Si-Ying Chen,Ai-Dou Jiang,Mei-Ling Jiang,Yourui Su,Wei Yan,Yungen Xu,Guoqing Gong +8 more
TL;DR: This study showed that V-A-4 does not exert anti-inflammatory effect through the inhibition of COX-1 orCOX-2, Rather, it is exerted through the suppression of the secretion of nitric oxide and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), as well as through the infiltration of inflammatory cells.

Developmental toxicity of fenbuconazole in zebrafish: effects on mitochondrial respiration and locomotor behavior.
Yingju Qin,Xiaohong Wang,Xiliang Yan,Di Zhu,Jia Wang,Si-Ying Chen,Shuo Wang,Yang Wen,Christopher J. Martyniuk,Yuan H. Zhao +9 more
TL;DR: The toxicity of Fenbuconazole at environmentally relevant concentrations with attention on the mitochondria, antioxidant system, and locomotor activity in zebrafish was evaluated in this article .

Discovery of novel limonin derivatives as potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents
Shaochi Wang,Yang Yun,Jing Liu,Ai-Dou Jiang,Zhao-Xing Chu,Si-Ying Chen,Guoqing Gong,Guang-Wei He,Yun-Gen Xu,Qihua Zhu +9 more
TL;DR: Compound V-A-8 exhibited the strongest in vivo activity among the novel limonin analogs; its analgesic activity was more potent than aspirin and its anti-inflammatory activity was stronger than naproxen under the authors' testing conditions.

Neurotoxicity of the Cu(OH)2 Nanopesticide through Perturbing Multiple Neurotransmitter Pathways in Developing Zebrafish.
Si-Ying Chen,Yingju Qin,Xiaolin Ye,Jian Liu,Xiliang Yan,Li Zhou,Xiaohong Wang,Christopher J. Martyniuk,Bing Yan +8 more
TL;DR: A model for Cu(OH)2 nanopesticide-induced neurotoxicity in developing zebrafish that can inform ecological risk assessments is presented and several neurotransmitter-related pathways were downregulated.

Comparative toxicity of [C8mim]Br and [C8py]Br in early developmental stages of zebrafish (Danio rerio) with focus on oxidative stress, apoptosis, and neurotoxicity.
Huang-ying-zi Wang,Xiaohong Wang,J. Jia,Yingju Qin,Si-Ying Chen,Shenqing Wang,Christopher J. Martyniuk,Yan Bing +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the role of cationic cores in determining the toxicity of ionic liquids (ILs) in aquatic organisms has been investigated, showing the vital role of core in determining developmental toxicity of ILs.
