Direct determination of trace aluminum with quercetin by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography
Hong-zhen Lian,Yufen Kang,Shuping Bi,Yasin Arkin,Da-lin Shao,Danni Li,Yijun Chen,Lemei Dai,Ning Gan,Li-Ching Tian +9 more
TL;DR: A preliminary thinking of in vivo determination of Al is provided in this study, as high performance liquid chromatography with spectrophotometric detection using quercetin, a bioactive substance as a pre-column reagent, is developed.

Third-generation superoxide anion sensor based on superoxide dismutase directly immobilized by sol-gel thin film on gold electrode.
Junwei Di,Shuping Bi,Ming Zhang +2 more
TL;DR: A third-generation biosensor for superoxide anion (O(2)*-) was developed based on superoxide dismutase (SOD) immobilized by thin silica-PVA sol-gel film on gold electrode surface, which showed a quasi-reversible electrochemical redox behavior and was very efficient for stabilizing the enzyme activity.

Analytical methodologies for aluminium speciation in environmental and biological samples--a review.
TL;DR: Concerns about the specific problems of Al speciation and highlights of some important methods are elucidated in sections devoted to hybrid techniques, flow-injection analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance, electrochemical analysis, and computer simulation.

Indirect determination of sulfide at ultratrace levels in natural waters by flow injection on-line sorption in a knotted reactor coupled with hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry.
TL;DR: The developed method was successfully applied to the determination of sulfide in a variety of natural water samples and wastewater samples with the gas-phase separation and sorption apparatus.

Solid phase extraction-spectrophotometric determination of dissolved aluminum in soil extracts and ground waters.
Mingbiao Luo,Shuping Bi +1 more
TL;DR: An on-line solid-phase extraction (SPE) technique, linked to spectrophotometry, has been developed to overcome the problem of high matrix concentration, which is thought to interfere with the determination of low levels of aluminum (Al) in environmental samples.
