Increasing Frequency of G275E Mutation in the Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor α6 Subunit Conferring Spinetoram Resistance in Invading Populations of Western Flower Thrips in China
TL;DR: Examination of changes in the frequency of a genetic mutation associated with spinetoram resistance, the G275E mutation in the acetylcholine receptor Foα6, in 62 field populations collected from 2009 to 2021 across areas of China invaded by this pest highlights the rapid evolution of pesticide resistance in an invasive species and points to a useful marker for molecular diagnostics of spinetOram resistance.
Diversity and Regional Variation of Endosymbionts in the Green Peach Aphid, Myzus persicae (Sulzer)
Qiong Yang,Paul A Umina,Shujun Wei,Chris Bass,Wenjuan Yu,Katie Robinson,Alexander Gill,Dongwu Zhan,Samantha Ward,Anthony van Rooyen,Ary A. Hoffmann +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors compared 37 Australian M. persicae populations with other populations, including 21 field populations from China and 15 clones from the UK, France, Italy, Greece, USA, Spain, South Korea, Chile, Japan and Zimbabwe, with a particular focus on Australian populations where this species is growing in status as a major agricultural pest.
Seed Transmission of Tomato Spotted Wilt Orthotospovirus in Peppers
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors provided evidence on the seed-borne transmission of TSWV in pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) plants using RT-PCR, RT-qPCR and transmission electron microscopy data.
Chromosome-level genome assembly of bean flower thrips Megalurothrips usitatus (Thysanoptera: Thripidae)
Ling Ma,Q. Liu,Shujun Wei,Shanlin Liu,Li Tian,Fan Song,Yuange Duan,Wanzhi Cai,Hu Lin Li +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors generated a chromosome-level Megalurothrips usitatus genome using a combination of PacBio long read and Hi-C technologies and the assembled genome was 238.14 Mb with a scaffold N50 of 13.85 Mb.
Expression of PvPht1;3, PvACR2 and PvACR3 during arsenic processing in root of Pteris vittata
TL;DR: In this paper, three genes (PvPht1;3, a phosphate transporter gene, PvACR2, a AsV reductase gene, and PvACr3, an AsIII transport gene) were evaluated to examine their contributions on As processing in root of P. vittata.
