Cell-type-specific PtrWOX4a and PtrVCS2 form a regulatory nexus with a histone modification system for stem cambium development in Populus trichocarpa
Xiu-hua Dai,Rui Zhai,Jiaojiao Lin,Zhifeng Wang,Dekai Meng,Meng Li,Yu-Qing Mao,Boyuan Gao,Hongyan Ma,Baofeng Zhang,Yi Sun,Shuang Li,Chenguang Zhou,Ying-Chung Lin,Jack P. Wang,Vincent L. Chiang,Wei Liu +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors showed that Ptr WOX4a is the most highly expressed stem vascular-cambium-specific (VCS) gene in P. trichocarpa, and its expression is controlled by the product of the second most expressed VCS gene, Ptr VCS2 , encoding a zinc finger protein.
CRISPR/Cas9 Based Cell-Type Specific Gene Knock-Out in Arabidopsis Roots
TL;DR: In this paper , the cell-specific promoters of the WUSCHEL RELATED HOMEOBOX 5 (WOX5), CYCLIND6;1 (CYCD6,1), and EN7 (EN7) genes were employed to drive the Cas9 element, allowing tissue-specific targeting of the genes of interest.
