TL;DR: In this paper , a previously unknown function of STAT3 was identified in kidney fibrosis and has therapeutic value in fibrosis by using Foxd1-mediated Stat3 knockout mice, CRISPR, and inhibitors of Stat3, which showed that STAT3 activation upregulates the inflammation and differentiates pericytes into myofibroblasts.

Multiple maternal proteins coordinate to restrict the translation of C. elegans nanos-2 to primordial germ cells
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide evidence that four maternal RNA-binding proteins (OMA-1, OMA-2, MEX-3 and SPN-4) bind nos-2 3′UTR to suppress its translation, and POS-1 relieves this suppression in P4.
