Feasibility and Safety of Uninterrupted Dabigatran Therapy in Patients Undergoing Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation
Tomoyuki Nagao,Yasuya Inden,Masayuki Shimano,Masaya Fujita,Satoshi Yanagisawa,Hiroyuki Kato,Shinji Ishikawa,Aya Miyoshi,Satoshi Okumura,Shiou Ohguchi,Toshihiko Yamamoto,Naoki Yoshida,Naoki Yoshida,Makoto Hirai,Toyoaki Murohara +14 more
TL;DR: Uninterrupted dabigatran therapy in CA for AF thus may be a safe and effective anticoagulant therapy, and appears to be closely similar to continuous warfarin; however, it is essential to pay close attention to the APTT values when using dabig atran during CA.

Long P-wave duration immediately after pulmonary vein isolation on radiofrequency catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation predicts clinical recurrence: correlation with atrial remodeling in persistent atrial fibrillation
Shiou Ohguchi,Yasuya Inden,Satoshi Yanagisawa,Takuro Shigematsu,Kenichiro Yasuda,Ken Katagiri,Mitsutoshi Oguri,Toyoaki Murohara +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the p-wave morphology after excluding the effect of pulmonary vein (PV) substrate on outcomes was evaluated for clinical outcomes and the relationship between electrocardiogram parameters and atrial fibrillation recurrence was evaluated.

Clinical outcome of implantable cardioverter defibrillators with recalled and non-recalled leads in Japanese patients. Increased failure rate of the Sprint Fidelis lead.
Satoshi Yanagisawa,Yasuya Inden,Masayuki Shimano,Naoki Yoshida,Hiroshi Ichiyanagi,Masaya Fujita,Shiou Ohguchi,Shinji Ishikawa,Hiroyuki Kato,Satoshi Okumura,Aya Miyoshi,Tomoyuki Nagao,Toshihiko Yamamoto,Makoto Hirai,Toyoaki Murohara +14 more
TL;DR: The rate of Sprint Fidelis lead failure continues to increase over time in Japanese patients, and the characteristics of these leads as compared with non-recalled leads in Asian patients are investigated.

Comparison of two dosing methods for immediate administration of tolvaptan in acute decompensated heart failure.
Mitsutoshi Oguri,Hideki Ishii,Shiou Ohguchi,K Takahara,Yoshihiro Kawamura,Yuki Yokoi,Kazuhiro Izumi,Hiroshi Takahashi,Haruo Kamiya,Toyoaki Murohara +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the early administration of tolvaptan within 12h after hospital admission significantly improved congestion from the first day after administration by either dosing regimen, i.e. once-daily 7.5mg or twice-daily 3.75mg in patients with acute HF.

<Editors' Choice> Prognostic utility of multipoint nutritional screening for hospitalized patients with acute decompensated heart failure.
Tomonobu Takikawa,Takuya Sumi,K Takahara,Shiou Ohguchi,Mitsutoshi Oguri,Hideki Ishii,Hideki Ishii,Toyoaki Murohara +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the impact of serial changes in nutritional status on 1-year events including all-cause mortality or rehospitalization owing to heart failure (HF) among hospitalized patients with acute decompensated HF (ADHF).
