Stability of neutron stars in Horndeski theories with Gauss-Bonnet couplings
Masato Minamitsuji,Shinji Tsujikawa +1 more
- 10 Jul 2022
TL;DR: In this paper , the existence and linear stability of neutron star (NS) solutions on a static and spherically symmetric background were studied. And they were shown to satisfy all the linear stability conditions for certain ranges of the coupling constants.
3
Stability of Schwarzshild black holes in quadratic gravity with Weyl curvature domination
Antonio De Felice,Shinji Tsujikawa +1 more
- 12 Jul 2023
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors studied the linear stability of static and spherically symmetric (SSS) black holes (BHs) in the presence of a Weyl-squared curvature besides an Einstein-Hilbert term in the action.
3
Velocity-dependent interacting dark energy and dark matter with a Lagrangian description of perfect fluids
Jose Beltrán Jiménez,Dario Bettoni,David Figueruelo,Florencia Anabella Teppa Pannia,Shinji Tsujikawa +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the Schutz-Sorkin Lagrangian formulation for perfect fluids was used to derive the corresponding stability conditions to avoid ghosts and Laplacian instabilities.
3
Black hole perturbations in Maxwell-Horndeski theories
Ryotaro Kase,Shinji Tsujikawa +1 more
- 25 Jan 2023
TL;DR: In this article , the authors studied the linear stability of black holes in full Horndeski theories and derived conditions for the absence of ghost/Laplacian stabilities along the radial and angular directions.

Density perturbations in the Ekpyrotic Universe and string-inspired generalizations
TL;DR: In this article, the evolution and spectra of curvature perturbations in cosmological models motivated by string theory are analyzed in the Ekpyrotic scenario and nonsingular string cosmologies.
