TL;DR: In this paper , the initial platelet parameters and the association with major morbidities and mortality in preterm infants were assessed and a lower plateletcrit within 24 hours of birth was associated with early onset sepsis (EOS), severe intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) grade ≥ 3, and early or overall mortality.
