Crystal structure analysis of ornithine transcarbamylase from Thermus thermophilus --HB8 provides insights on the plasticity of the active site.
Ramya Sundaresan,Akio Ebihara,Seiki Kuramitsu,Shigeyuki Yokoyama,Thirumananseri Kumarevel,Karthe Ponnuraj +5 more
TL;DR: The structure of ornithine transcarbamylase of Thermus thermophilus HB8 (aTtOTCase) is reported at 2.0 Å resolution and it is suggested that the active site geometry should also undergo fine tuning besides the large structural changes as the enzyme switches from completely open to a substrate bound closed state.

Purification, crystallization and preliminary X-ray diffraction analysis of the histone chaperone cia1 from fission yeast.
Takashi Umehara,Yumi Otta,Keiko Tsuganezawa,Takehisa Matsumoto,Akiko Tanaka,Masami Horikoshi,Balasundaram Padmanabhan,Shigeyuki Yokoyama +7 more
TL;DR: In fission yeast, cia1+ is an essential gene that encodes a histone chaperone, a homologue of human CIA and budding yeast Asf1p, which both facilitate nucleosome assembly by interacting with the core histones H3/H4.
