A fabric treatment article for use in a clothes dryer comprises a substrate and a fabric treatment composition comprising at least one laundry benefit agent in an amount effective for reducing wrinkles, stains or odours in clothing applied to the substrate. The substrate is either: (i) a sheet having first and second sides, each side having similar dimensions and raised and depressed portions, wherein between 0.02-0.07 grams of the fabric treatment composition is applied per square centimetre of the sheet, (ii) or a sheet with first and second sides having similar dimensions wherein at least part of the first side has one colour and at least a part of the second side has a different colour. Alternatively, the composition comprises between 0.1-5 wt.% of fabric benefit agent selected from ethoxylated organosilicones; polyalkyleneoxide modified polydimethylsiloxane; linear aminopolydimethylsiloxane polyalkyleneoxide copolymers; sulphated/sulphonated vegetable oils; high molecular weight polyacrylamides; betaine siloxane copolymers; or alkylactam siloxane copolymers. A method of reducing the occurance of wrinkles in laundered clothing is also provided.

The present invention provides a process for the manufacture of free-flowing detergent granules having a bulk density of at least 600 g/l, comprising the steps of: (a) neutralising anionic surfactant acid or acids in an excess of alkali to form a paste, and optionally mixing other surfactants with the paste, to give a total surfactant level in the paste of at least 40 % by weight; (b) mixing said paste with one or more powders to form a granular product; and (c) optionally drying the granular product, wherein at least one of the powders in step (b) is spray-dried and comprises anionic polymer and cationic surfactant.

Process for the manufacture of free-flowing detergent granules

The invention concerns a composition which increases water retention and water absorption in a plant media, such as soil. In particular, the invention relates to a biodegradable polymeric water retention concentrate that when diluted and applied to various plant media improve water, fertilizer and nutrient retention in plant media with no root uptake or phyto-toxic effects. The composition includes a polyacrylamide (PAM), a water softener, a surfactant and nutrients. The composition can be delivered to the plant media through existing irrigation systems and nutrient/fertilizer delivery systems, such as venturi, fertigator, separate mixing tank or any induction system.

Biodegradable polymeric water retention concentrate

A general purpose cleaning composition for non-water soluble contaminants is described. The cleaning composition contains a cationic surfactant and a Group IIIa metal salt, and does not require a water treatment chemical to separate the contaminants from an emulsion made with the cleaning composition.

An additive composition for a granular detergent comprising: (a) a cationic surfactant having the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R 1 and R 2 independently represent an alkyl group having 12 to 26 carbon atoms, R 3 and R 4 independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a benzyl group, a hydroxyalkyl group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, or a polyoxyalkylene group having 1 to 10 mole oxyalkylene units, and X represents a halogen atom, CH 3 SO 4 , C 2 H 5 SO 4 , or ##STR2## , and (b) (i) a polymer of an acrylamide monomer having the general formula (II) ##STR3## wherein R 5 represents hydrogen or methyl, and R 6 and R 7 independently represent hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, a hydroxy alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or the substituted alkyl group having 2 to 15 carbon atoms or (ii) a copolymer of the acrylamide monomer (II) with an anionic monomer. The ratio of component (a)/component (b) in a weight basis is 99.9/0.1 to 50/50.
