The dose dependence of the induction of chromosome aberrations in those who worked in the cleanup of the Chernobyl accident
TL;DR: In this work chromosome aberration rate was estimated in 31 ameliorators of the Chernobyl accident with the known data of physical dosimetry in the range of 12-30 cGy and linear dependence of induction of chromosome aberrations was found in this dose range.

The cytogenetic effects in the population of the Altai Territory subjected to ionizing radiation exposure as a result of the nuclear explosions at the Semipalatinsk proving grounds
Shevchenko Va,Snigireva Gp,Suskov,Akaeva Ea,Elisova Tn,Iofa El,Nilova In,Kostina Ln,Novitskaia Nn,Sidorova Vf +9 more
TL;DR: The cytogenetic examination of 178 persons living in seven settlements of the Altai region exposed to ionizing radiation during Semipalatinsk nuclear tests in 1949-1962 was carried out, it was shown that more than 80% of absorbed dose was due to the first nuclear explosion in 1949.

The cytogenetic effects in persons who suffered as a result of the accident at the Chernobyl Atomic Electric Power Station
TL;DR: Results showed a satisfactory correlation between the frequencies of dicentrics per chromosome detected by routine and computer methods and corresponded to the equivalent whole body dose up to about 1 Gy.

[Cytogenetic studies of blood lymphocytes of cosmonauts after long-ter, space flights].
B. S. Fedorenko,Shevchenko Va,Snigireva Gp,S. V. Druzhinin,Repina La,Novitskaia Nn,Akatov IuA +6 more
TL;DR: The cytogenetical damage detected in cosmonauts' peripheral blood lymphocytes after chronic action of low doses of space radiation points out a possible increase in risks of stochastic effects in distant future for crews after long-term space missions.

Effect of space flight factors on health of cosmonauts in the near and late term after space flights
B. S. Fedorenko,Iu I Voronkov,Snigireva Gp,Shevchenko Va,S. V. Druzhinin,Iu A Akatov,V V Tsetlin +6 more
TL;DR: The purpose of the investigations planned is to study cytogenetical damage in blood lymphocyte from cosmonauts after space flights on the ISS in vivo, as well as in donor blood lymphocytes after in vitro exposure to accelerated charged particles.
