Preoperative anxiety predicted the incidence of postoperative delirium in patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty: a prospective cohort study.
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of preoperative anxiety on postoperative delirium was investigated and the results showed that the patients with anxiety had a higher incidence of postoperative depression than the non-anxiety patients.
SIRT1 Activation Attenuates Bone Cancer Pain by Inhibiting mGluR1/5.
TL;DR: A critical role is suggested for Sirtuin 1 in the development and maintenance of BCP and activation of SIRT1 in the spinal cord by SRT1720 functionally reverses BCP in mice by inhibiting mGluR1/5.

Melatonin attenuates bone cancer pain via the SIRT1/HMGB1 pathway
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the effect of melatonin on BCP and the underlying mechanisms, and they found that the levels of sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) and nucleus-high mobility group box-1 (HMGB1) were decreased.

TGF-β3/Smad3 Contributes to Isoflurane Postconditioning Against Cerebral Ischemia–Reperfusion Injury by Upregulating MEF2C
TL;DR: Results indicate that the TGF-β3/Smad3 signaling pathway contributes to the neuroprotection of isoflurane postconditioning after CIRI and is possibly related to MEF2C.

Propofol enhances stem-like properties of glioma via GABAAR‐dependent Src modulation of ZDHHC5-EZH2 palmitoylation mechanism
TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of propofol on glioma growth was demonstrated by a series of in vitro and in vivo experiments (spheroidal formation assay, western blotting, and xenograft model).
