Properties of High Basicity Mold Fluxes for Peritectic Steel Slab Casting
TL;DR: In this paper, a method to improve mold fluxes properties by raising the original basicity was proposed and the effect of this method on the properties of the mold flux was discussed, and the results showed that increasing the basicity index can improve the melting and flow properties of mold flux.

Solidification Properties of CaO-SiO2-TiO2 Based Mold Fluxes
TL;DR: In this paper, the solidification and crystallization properties of mold fluxes play an important role in keeping smooth running of continuous casting process and achieving high surface quality of casting strands.

Castability of Aluminum- and Sulfur-bearing Free-cutting Steel
TL;DR: In this article, the formation behavior of non-metallic inclusions and an optimization direction for improving castability was provided for improving the performance of continuous casting of Al and S-containing steel, which has a negative effect on the smooth production and product quality.

Optimization of calcium addition to high-strength low-alloy steels
TL;DR: In this paper, a nonmetallic inclusion control method was used to optimize the Ca consumption in a continuous casting of Al-killed steel, and the steel cleanliness before Ca addition was improved significantly.

Development of Test Method for Measuring Sintering Temperature of Mould Fluxes
TL;DR: In this paper, an effective method of measuring the apparent sintering temperature has been developed based on monitoring the formation of cavities caused by melting of samples, which is a useful parameter to assess the threat of problems related to sinter.
