Can middle schoolers learn to read the web like experts? Possibilities and limits of a strategy-based intervention
TL;DR: This article found that after the intervention students were more likely to prefer a more credible source of information over a less credible source when the two sources were presented, and that few students improved in their ability to assess a single deceptive website, despite applying several strategies taught in the intervention.

TL;DR: The extent and nature of scholarship on information literacy practices of adolescents on social media outside of school are worth considering, since adolescents use social media near ubiquitously and must grapple with all types of content they encounter incidentally or intentionally as mentioned in this paper .
