TL;DR: In 1992, the defmition of erectile dysfunction (ED) replaced the old term of impotence that had been used for many centuries, in order to avoid the general confusion existing until today in this field.
Influence of Judaism and Jewish Physicians on Greek and Byzantine Medicine and Their Contribution to Nephrology
TL;DR: The Old Testament and the Mosaic Codes provided the basis for modern public health and for the hygienic rules practised in their times and the Talmudists laid the foundations for the science of pathology as the authors know it today.

Sequence of appearance of the metabolic derangements in rat brain synaptosomes during phosphate depletion.
TL;DR: The data are consistent with the notion that PD is associated with an initial increase in calcium influx into the synaptosomes, followed by a modest but significant rise in [Ca2+]i which in turn would inhibit mitochondrial oxidation and ATP generation leading to a decrease in ATP content.
4
Elevation of cytosolic calcium of rat cardiac myocytes in phosphate depletion
TL;DR: The data of the present study are consistent with the notion that the rise in [Ca2+]i of cardiac myocytes of PD rats is due to a decrease in calcium efflux out of them.

Effect of amlodipine therapy on the monoclonal antibody 3G8-induced calcium signal in polymorphonuclear leukocytes of hemodialysis patients
TL;DR: It is concluded that chronic renal failure is associated with deranged calcium homeostasis of PMNLs which causes abnormalities in the function of Fcγ RIII receptors and consequently results in impaired phagocytosis and therapy with a calcium channel blocker can reverse all these derangements in metabolism and function ofPMNLs.
