TL;DR: In this paper , three chalcohalide nonlinear optical crystals, [ASr4Cl][Ge3S10] (A=Na, K), [KBa4Cl] and [Ge3s10] have been successfully designed and synthesized by combining the covalent [Ge 3S9] clusters and ionic [AB4CL] frameworks.

TL;DR: The heteroanionic compound Sr18Ge9O5S31 exhibits chiral-polar duality, confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Its unique microstructure groups enable strong second harmonic generation efficiency, large bandgap, and wide mid-infrared transparency.
