Intratumoral Administration of High-Concentration Nitric Oxide and Anti-mPD-1 Treatment Improves Tumor Regression Rates and Survival in CT26 Tumor-Bearing Mice
Hila Confino,Yogev Sela,Yana Epshtein,Lidor Malka,M.M. Goldshtein,Selena Chaisson,Steve Lisi,Amir Avniel,Jedidiah M. Monson,F. M. Dirbas +9 more
TL;DR: The ability of UNO to improve the efficacy of a programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody in vitro and in treating CT26 tumor-bearing mice is investigated and combined high-concentration NO and immune checkpoint inhibitors warrants further assessment especially in tumors resistant to checkpoint inhibitor therapy.

819 Intratumoral administration of high-concentration nitric oxide and anti PD-1 treatment leads to higher tumor regression rates and prolonged survival in CT26 tumor-bearing mice
Hila Confino,David Greenberg,Selena Chaisson,Jedidiah M. Monson,Steve Lisi,Amir Avniel,Ido Wolf,Ya. V. Épshtein +7 more
- 01 Nov 2022
TL;DR: Khan et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the ability of high-concentration NO (UNO) to improve the efficacy of anti-PD-1 antibody and found that the combination of UNO with anti-drugs significantly improved outcomes.
Abstract 6363: Short-term exposure of cancer cells to ultra-high concentrations nitric oxide induces PDL-1 upregulation
Ya. V. Épshtein,M.M. Goldshtein,Selena Chaisson,Jedidiah M. Monson,Matt Johnson,Amir Avniel,Steve Lisi,Hila Confino +7 more
TL;DR: Epshtein et al. as mentioned in this paper showed that short-term exposure of cancer cells to ultra-high concentrations nitric oxide induces PDL-1 upregulation on cancer cells.
Abstract 6327: Intratumoral administration of ultra high-concentration nitric oxide (UNO) is more efficacious than anti-PD1 therapy in 4T1 tumor-bearing mice
Ya. V. Épshtein,M.M. Goldshtein,Selena Chaisson,Jedidiah M. Monson,Matt Johnson,Amir Avniel,Steve Lisi,Hila Confino +7 more
TL;DR: Epshtein et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the ability of UNO to improve the efficacy of anti-PD-1 antibody treatment in the aggressive mouse breast cancer model, 4T1.
Gaseous nitric oxide tumor ablation induces an anti-tumor abscopal effect
Hila Confino,Frederick M. Dirbas,M.M. Goldshtein,Shay Yarkoni,Rinat Kalaora,Meital Hatan,S. Puyesky,Yakir Levi,Lidor Malka,Matt Johnson,Selena Chaisson,Jedidiah M. Monson,Amir Avniel,Steve Lisi,David Greenberg,Ido Wolf +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper , an innovative technique for generating anti-tumor immunity by delivering exogenous ultra-high concentration (> 10,000 ppm) gaseous nitric oxide (UHCgNO) intratumorally was presented.
