Effects of contact with wood on blood pressure and subjective evaluation
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of contact with wood on the living human body using a physiological index and subjective evaluation were examined, and it was found that contact with cold wood produced subjectively dangerous/uncomfortable but still coarse/natural sensations, also with no associated increase in blood pressure.
Human TRPA1 activation by terpenes derived from the essential oil of daidai, Citrus aurantium L. var. daidai Makino.
Yuko Terada,Rie Yamashita,Nozomi Ihara,Toyomi Yamazaki-Ito,Yuma Takahashi,Haruka Masuda,Satoshi Sakuragawa,Sohei Ito,Keisuke Ito,Tatsuo Watanabe +9 more
TL;DR: This study is the first to show a hTRPA1 activation by five terpenes: linalyl acetate, geranyl acetates, osthole, Geranyl propionate, and neryl acetate; and it is demonstrated that the oil activates human TRPA1 (hTRpa1).
Wearable ECG Recorder with Acceleration Sensors for Monitoring Daily Stress
Yoshio Okada,Tsuyoshi Yi Yoto,Taka-aki Suzuki,Satoshi Sakuragawa,Hiroyuki Sakakibara,Kayoko Shimoi,Toshifumi Sugiura +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a wearable electrocardiograph (ECG) device with three accelerometers (x, y, and z axis) was developed for prolonged monitoring of everyday stress, which consists of an amplifier, a microcomputer with an analog/digital converter, a tri-axial accelerometer, and a memory card.

Double Layer Properties of Spent Coffee Grounds-derived Carbon Activated with Potassium Hydroxide (KOH)
Keisuke Kikuchi,Tomohiro Yasue,Rie Yamashita,Satoshi Sakuragawa,Masao Sudoh,Masayuki Itagaki +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) using SCGs-derived carbon activated with KOH was compared to phenol resin-derived activated carbon (MSP-20), which is commonly used as a reference material in EDLC research.
