Dosimetric parameters associated with radiation-induced esophagitis in breast cancer patients undergoing regional nodal irradiation.
Alexander Yaney,Ahmet S. Ayan,Xueliang Pan,Sachin R. Jhawar,E. Healy,Sasha Beyer,Kylee Lindsey,Karla Kuhn,Kayla Tedrick,Julia White,Jose G. Bazan +10 more
TL;DR: In patients receiving RNI with modern techniques, it is found that G2E occurs in >15%, and more frequently with IMRT, and these data strongly support the routine contouring of the esophagus in RNI planning and should be incorporated in future prospective protocols of RNI.

68Ga-DOTATATE PET-based Radiation Contouring Creates More Precise Radiation Volumes for Meningioma Patients.
H. Perlow,Michael Siedow,Yevgeniya Gokun,Joseph P. McElroy,J. Matsui,Wesley Zoller,Sasha Beyer,Andrea L. Arnett,Dukagjin Blakaj,Daniel J. Boulter,Joel Fritz,Eric D. Miller,Raju R. Raval,C. Kleefisch,Joseph Bovi,Joshua D. Palmer +15 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated retrospective, deidentified, and blinded gross tumor volume contour delineation with 7 central nervous system (CNS) specialists (4 CNS radiation oncologists and 3 neuroradiologists) for 25 patients with a meningioma diagnosis who received both a 68Ga-DOTATATE PET and an MRI for radiation treatment planning.

Clinical Effectiveness of an Adaptive Treatment Planning Algorithm for Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy Versus 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy for Node-Positive Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Regional Nodal Irradiation/Postmastectomy Radiation Therapy.
Jose G. Bazan,E. Healy,Sasha Beyer,Karla Kuhn,Dominic DiCostanzo,T.L. Smith,Sachin R. Jhawar,Julia White +7 more
TL;DR: An adaptive-TPA for use of IMRT when 3D CRT does not meet critical OAR constraints resulted in rare high-grade toxicity and no difference in failure patterns between patients treated with IMRT and 3DCRT, and should provide reassurance that IMRT maintains the therapeutic ratio by preserving cancer control outcomes without excess toxicity when 3dCRT fails to meet OAR constraint.

Fractionated pre-operative stereotactic radiotherapy for patients with brain metastases: a multi-institutional analysis
Joshua D. Palmer,H. Perlow,J. Matsui,C. Ho,Rahul N. Prasad,Kevin Liu,R. C. Upadhyay,Brett Klamer,Joshua L. Wang,Mark Damante,Jayeeta Ghose,Dukagjin Blakaj,Sasha Beyer,John C. Grecula,Andrea L. Arnett,Evan M. Thomas,Arnab Chakravarti,Russell R. Lonser,Douglas A. Hardesty,Daniel M. Prevedello,Roshan S. Prabhu,James B. Elder,Raju R. Raval +22 more
TL;DR: It is hypothesized that pre-operative fractionated stereotactic radiation therapy (FSRT) can minimize rates of LF, RN, and MD and appears to be safe, effective, and may decrease the incidence of adverse outcomes.

MEK inhibition leads to lysosome-mediated Na+/I− symporter protein degradation in human breast cancer cells
TL;DR: It is found that MEK inhibition decreased NIS protein levels in all-trans retinoic acid/hydrocortisone-treated MCF-7 cells as well as human breast cancer cells expressing exogenous NIS, and MEK activation appears to play an important role in maintaining NISprotein stability in human breast cancers.
