Uma arquitetura computacional para autoria e personalização de objetos de aprendizagem em ambientes educacionais ubíquos

Background: This paper refers to an empirical study held at an undergraduate summer course for student teachers at a public Brazilian University, aiming to promote teaching and learning processes based on a student-centred approach. Methods: The study was set up as a Pedagogical Action Research. The classes were initially planned based on interviews with teachers and students from the regular previous term and on open-answers questionnaires filled in by students enrolled at the summer course. At the end of the summer course, a new open-answer questionnaire was filled in by the students. Results: It was possible to perceive a positive change on students’ postures, engagement and learning, and will become teachers. Conclusions: The findings indicate that student-centred practices are an interesting pedagogical approach for Teacher Education. Besides going further with the Pedagogical Action Research it is perceived the need to make similar studies at different Brazilian Higher Education settings.

A Student-Centred Experience at a Brazilian Summer Course for Student Teachers

Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar um sistema de bate-papo desenvolvido para o contexto educacional com base em principios de gamificacao e de inteligencia coletiva. Para promover o engajamento e a avaliacao das mensagens sao utilizadas reacoes, tal qual ocorrem no Sistema de Rede Social Facebook. Para a execucao desta pesquisa, o paradigma epistemologico usado foi a Design Science Research. Para a avaliacao do artefato proposto foi executado um estudo de caso no grupo de pesquisa que os autores do artigo participam e, apos as analises qualitativas e quantitativas, concluiu-se que os beneficios da inteligencia coletiva podem ser potencializados se a gamificacao for bem projetada e aplicada.

Uso da Inteligência Coletiva para Identificação de Mensagens Relevantes em um Bate-papo Gamificado

This paper proposes the use of mobile learning combined with gamification strategies for the promotion of consumer rights thus expanding collective intelligence. Therefore, this research is presented with primary data demonstrating responsiveness in profile, and also in needs of the target audience, highlighting the importance of an educational support to reach this student/consumer beyond the limits of traditional classroom or even the e-learning methodology.

Mobile learning e gamification: estratégias para promoção de direitos e ampliação da inteligência coletiva

This Research Full paper presents a systematic analysis. The objective of this work is to identify the educational context in which u-Learning was applied, as well as to evaluate which technologies are used to analyze the learning process in the period from 2012 to 2019. The quantitative analysis of the publications verified 5347 productions associated to the areas of sustainability, homecare, health, education, among others. The qualitative study of the data revealed: (i) the definition of u-Learning processes, referring to the individual behavioral repertoire, modified by the acquisition of certain knowledge; (ii) evaluation of the learning related to concrete situations in which the individual can manifest the knowledge in the acquired behaviors; and as for the application (iii) it was verified the inexistence of models for analysis of these process of change of behavior. Thus, from our research it was possible to observe, as a priority, the use of technologies as an instrument for the learning process, not being used in the measurement of knowledge. The findings point to the purpose of future studies that may indicate possible behavioral models that allow analyzing the behavior change and consequently the ubiquitous learning process.

Ubiquitous Learning: ASystematic Review

Um dos grandes desafios dos ambientes computacionais voltados a educacao e garantir o engajamento e manter a motivacao dos estudantes em sua utilizacao. Nesse sentido, conceitos de gamificacao tem sido explorados para adaptar elementos de jogos a atividades de ensino e aprendizagem no intuito de torna-las mais envolventes e atrativas. Este artigo apresenta o processo de concepcao e desenvolvimento de um modulo de software para gamificacao de Ambientes Educacionais Ubiquos (AEUs). Alem da arquitetura do modulo de gamificacao proposto e dos detalhes tecnicos de sua implementacao, e descrita sua integracao a um AEU real e sua utilizacao conjunta com mecanismos colaborativos de extensao e enriquecimento de conteudo educacional.

One challenge in educational computing environments is to ensure the student engagement and motivation in using their resources. In this sense, gamification concepts have been employed to adapt game elements to learning- teaching activities in order to make them more engaging and attractive. This paper presents the process of design and development of a software module for gamification in Ubiquitous Learning Environments (ULEs). Besides presenting the proposed module's architecture and its implementation details, we describe its integration to a real ULE application and its use together with collaborative mechanisms for the extension and enrichment of educational content.
