An order class is defined which includes multiple data elements that are common to various order types. The order class identifies relationships of an order with various entities related to the order.

Modeling of order data

An interactive video display system. A display screen is for displaying a visual image for presentation to a user. A camera is for detecting an object in an interactive area located in front of the display screen, the camera operable to capture three-dimensional information about the object. In addition, by providing certain exceptions to the rejection of edge contacts, the functionality of the touch sensor panel can be maximized. Contacts in edge bands around the perimeter of a touch sensor panel can be ignored. However, if a contact in the edge band moves beyond a threshold distance or speed, it can be recognized as part of a gesture. To accommodate different finger sizes, the size of the edge band can be modified based on the identification of the finger or thumb. Furthermore, if contacts in the center region of a touch sensor panel track the movement of contacts in the edge band, the contacts in the edge band can be recognized as part of a gesture.

A self-contained interactive video display system. A projector projects a visual image onto a screen for displaying the visual image, wherein the projector projects the visual image onto a back side of the screen for presentation to a user on a front side of the screen. An illuminator illuminates an object near the front side of the screen. A camera detects interaction of an illuminated object with the visual image, wherein the screen is at least partially transparent to light detectable to the camera, allowing the camera to detect the illuminated object through the screen. A computer system directs the projector to change the visual image in response to the interaction.

Self-contained interactive video display system

An interactive directed beam system is provided. In one implementation, the system includes a projector, a computer and a camera. The camera is configured to view and capture information in an interactive area. The captured information may take various forms, such as, an image and/or audio data. The captured information is based on actions taken by an object, such as, a person within the interactive area. Such actions include, for example, natural movements of the person and interactions between the person and an image projected by the projector. The captured information from the camera is then sent to the computer for processing. The computer performs one or more processes to extract certain information, such as, the relative location of the person within the interactive area for use in controlling the projector. Based on the results generated by the processes, the computer directs the projector to adjust the projected image accordingly. The projected image can move anywhere within the confines of the interactive area.

Interactive directed light/sound system

Access to heterogeneous data sources may be obtained by interactively determining transformations for use in mapping at least one source data component from at least one data source to a target data component. Selection of at least one the source data component is detected. A corresponding list of representative data examples is generated for each selected source data component. A resulting list of representative data examples is compiled for the target data component from the lists of representative data examples of the selected source data components, the resulting list of data examples being representative of the target data component. A modification of an example is identified from the resulting list of examples representative of the target data component, the example being modified as a single textual entity. At least one transformation is determined, by inferring from the modified example, to be applied to at least one source data component.

Methods for interactively defining transforms and for generating queries by manipulating existing query data

A query system (1600) is formed by a wizard (1605) operating to form a data server (1610) arranged to serve data from a data source (1615) to a client application (1630), each of the wizard, the client application, the data server and the data source being linked by a communications network (1650). The data source has native data types and data arranged in a data structure. The wizard operates to firstly identify the data source over the network. The wizard further provides an application program for traversing and examining at least one of the data structure and data of the identified data source. The application program is operable to generate a representative schema (1614) comprising mapping data for converting the native data types to predetermined data types of a common data model. The wizard further operates to create a server application (1612) adapted to use the representative schema to convert the data from the native data types to the predetermined data types and to serve the data to the client application according to the common data model over the network. The representative schema and the server application thereby form the data server generated by the wizard. Once formed, the data server may receive and respond to queries from the client application, which may have no knowledge of the native data types, but which are directed to the data source.

Method of generating data servers for heterogeneous data sources

Methods ( 105 ), apparatuses ( 600 ), and computer readable storage mediums for processing captured images having geolocations related to the captured images at the time of capture are disclosed. A representative geolocation is associated ( 110 ) with each group of images previously captured at the same location. For each representative geolocation, based on at least the timestamp of the images associated with the representative geolocation, the probability is determined ( 120 ) that a further image will be captured at or near the representative geolocation. For representative geolocations with a determined probability above a predetermined threshold, the respective representative geolocation is associated ( 130 ) with at least one personal place.

A method of selecting a GUI object ( 118 ) in a display space ( 402 ) using a user controlled pointing device ( 104 ) is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of establishing an initial range mapping between the pointing device and the display space, and defining an initial Selected Display Region (SDR) in the display space dependent on the initial range mapping. Then the method involves receiving ( 304 ), from the pointing device, a set of coordinates in the initial SDR, updating ( 306 ) the range mapping dependent upon the received set of coordinates, and redefining the SDR dependent upon the updated range mapping. The method then determines ( 308 ) the presence of any GUI object within the redefined SDR, and if a GUI object is present in the redefined SDR, selecting ( 310 ) the GUI object.

Selecting moving objects on a system

A method of delivering a recommendation is disclosed. A preference rating is received for each of a plurality of electronic devices based on a task to be recommended, each of the preference ratings defining a preference to perform the recommended task on a corresponding one of the electronic devices. A timeliness profile associated with the recommendation is received. The timeliness profile defines relevance of delivering the recommendation over a period of time. One of the electronic devices on which to deliver the recommendation at a particular point in time is selected based on a function of the preference rating of the selected electronic device and the timeliness profile associated with the recommendation at that point in time.
