Macrocyclic {3d–4f} SMMs as building blocks for 1D-polymers: selective bridging of 4f ions by use of an O-donor ligand
TL;DR: A comparative study of the static and dynamic magnetic properties of 2 and its precursor, 1, is reported and a structurally characterised one-dimensional cationic polymer is reported.

Doubly Pyrazolate-Bridged Dinuclear Complexes of a Highly Constrained Bis-terdentate Ligand: Observation of a [High Spin-Low Spin] State for [FeII2(PMAP)2][SbF6]2·2.25(C3H8O) (PMAP = 3,5-bis{[N-(2-pyridylmethyl)amino]-methyl}-1H-pyrazolate)
TL;DR: The bis-terdentate pyrazole-based ligand 3,5-bismethyl-1H-pyrazole (PMAPH) was synthesized from 3,1H)-pyrazoledicarbaldehyde and 2 equiv of 2-(aminomethyl)pyridine, using sodium borohydride to reduce the imine intermediate as mentioned in this paper.

Anion, Solvent and Time Dependence of High-Spin-Low-Spin Interactions in a 3D Coordination Polymer
Guy N. L. Jameson,Franz Werner,Matthias Bartel,Alina Absmeier,Michael Reissner,Jonathan A. Kitchen,Sally Brooker,Andrea Caneschi,Chiara Carbonera,Jean-François Létard,Wolfgang Linert +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of counterion and occluded solvent on the structure and spin-crossover behavior of the threefold interpenetrated network of butane I was investigated.

Tuneable reversible redox of cobalt(III) carbazole complexes
TL;DR: Four tridentate carbazole-based ligands prepared and complexed with cobalt(ii) tetrafluoroborate exhibit two reversible, one-electron oxidation processes, and an irreversible or quasi-reversible reduction process (probably due to reduction of Co(iii) to Co(ii).

First observation of non-bridging thiolates or tetrahedral geometries within thiolate-containing Schiff-base macrocycles: [Zn2L][CF3SO3]2
Sally Brooker,Tony C. Davidson +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the structure determination of [Zn2L][CF3SO3] reveals the first example of non-bridging thiolates within a thiolate-containing Schiff-base macrocyclic complex.
