Solvent Polarity Predictably Tunes Spin Crossover T1/2 in Isomeric Iron(II) Pyrimidine Triazoles.
Santiago Rodríguez-Jiménez,Alexis S. Barltrop,Nicholas G. White,Humphrey L. C. Feltham,Sally Brooker +4 more
TL;DR: Two isomeric pyrimidine-based Rdpt-type triazole ligands were made, with single-crystal X-ray diffraction revealing that the N6-coordinated iron(II) centers in 1, 2, 3·2CHCl3, 4, 5, and 5·2 CH3OH have two bidentate triazoles ligands equatorially bound and two axial NCE co-ligands trans-coordinate.

Synthesis and Structures of 3,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-triazole Head Units and Incorporation of 3,5-dibenzoyl-1,2,4-triazolate into New [2 + 2] Schiff-Base Macrocyclic Complexes
Carsten D. Brandt,Jonathan A. Kitchen,Udo Beckmann,Nicholas G. White,Geoffrey B. Jameson,Sally Brooker +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and characterization of the head unit building blocks for Schiff-base reactions have been reported, and the crystal structures of the lead-II lead-base macrocyclic complexes are derived.

Synthesis and characterisation of a series of mononuclear ruthenium(II) carbonyl complexes of heterocycle-based asymmetric bidentate ligands
Declan Mulhern,Yanhua Lan,Sally Brooker,John F. Gallagher,Helmar Görls,Sven Rau,Johannes G. Vos +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and characterisation of a series of complexes of the type [Ru(L 0 )(CO) 2 Cl 2 ] are reported, where L 0 are the chelating ligands.

Total syntheses of the angucyclinone antibiotics (+)-emycin A and (+)-ochromycinone
TL;DR: The first asymmetric synthesis of the angucyclinone antibiotics, emycin A and ochromycinone, is achieved via a short, efficient sequence from 5-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone with the key step being an effective kinetic resolution of a racemic diene in a Diels–Alder reaction.

A pyridazine Schiff-base macrocycle hosts a dicobalt centre in five different redox states: evidence for a mixed valent CoICoII species
TL;DR: In this paper, the first structurally characterised dicobalt complex to be bridged by pyridazine units, reveal two oneelectron reductions as well as two one-electron oxidations at high potentials; a mixed valent CoICoII species which exhibits an intervalence charge transfer band at 965 nm.
