TL;DR: In this paper, a Two-Step-Clustering (TSC) is proposed to improve the performance of WSN by grouping sensor nodes of minimum distance from each other into balanced non-overlapping clusters and sub-clusters and a sleep-awake mechanism was employed among the members of the sub- Clustering.
