Adjuvant Gemcitabine Versus Neoadjuvant/Adjuvant FOLFIRINOX in Resectable Pancreatic Cancer: The Randomized Multicenter Phase II NEPAFOX Trial.
Thorsten Oliver Goetze,Alexander Reichart,U. Bankstahl,Claudia Pauligk,Maria Loose,Thomas Kraus,Moustafa Elshafei,W. Bechstein,Jörg Trojan,Matthias Behrend,Nils Homann,Marino Venerito,Wolfram Bohle,Michael Varvenne,Claus Bolling,Dirk Behringer,Karsten Kratz-Albers,Gabriele Margareta Siegler,W. Hozaeel,Salah-Eddin Al-Batran +19 more
TL;DR: The NEPAFOX trial compared adjuvant gemcitabine with neoadjuvant/adjuvant FOLFIRINOX in resectable pancreatic cancer, finding improved median RFS/PFS with FOLFIRINOX, but comparable median OS, with no safety issues observed in the perioperative FOLFIRINOX arm.

Influence of adjuvant pretreatment on outcome of FIRE-3 (AIO KRK-0306): A randomized phase III study of FOLFIRI plus cetuximab or bevacizumab as first-line treatment for wild-type (WT) KRAS (exon 2) metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients.

Lerchenmuller,Christoph Kahl,G. Seipelt,Frank Kullmann,Martina Stauch,Werner Scheithauer,Swantje Held,Clemens Giessen,Markus Moehler,Andreas Jung,Thomas Kirchner,Volker Heinemann +19 more
TL;DR: FOLFIRI plus cet resulted in comparable overall response rates (ORR) and progression free survival (PFS) when compared to FOLFIRi + bev.

Afatinib with Concurrent Radiotherapy in a Patient with Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
TL;DR: The combination of afatinib and radiotherapy is promising and should be investigated further, however, because of the limited experience and potential side effects known for other EGFR TKIs, a decision for treatment outside a clinical trial has to be made very carefully, balancing the risk and benefit on an individual patient basis.

TL;DR: Evaluating factors influencing treatment decisions with special focus on the implementation of HER2 testing during the first year after trastuzumab market approval in Germany found the tendency to use more intensive first-line chemotherapy regimens in patients with advanced esophagogastric adenocarcinoma continued in 2010.

Trastuzumab plus chemotherapy in gastric cancer overexpressing HER-2 and EGFR: a case report.
TL;DR: A professionally active 42-year-old Caucasian man presented with dysphagia and an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0 in May 2007 and was diagnosed with gastric cancer, which revealed a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of the gastric cardia of intestinal type.
