A genetic fuzzy system to model pedestrian walking path in a built environment
TL;DR: Analysis and statistical measurement of the results indicate that the genetic fuzzy system with optimised membership functions produces more accurate and stable prediction of heterogeneous pedestrians’ walking trajectories than those from the original fuzzy model.
Thermal analysis of nanofluids in microfluidics using an infrared camera.
Pyshar Yi,Aminuddin A. Kayani,Adam F. Chrimes,Kamran Ghorbani,Saeid Nahavandi,Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh,Khashayar Khoshmanesh +6 more
TL;DR: The thermal analysis of liquid containing Al(2)O(3) nanoparticles in a microfluidic platform using an infrared camera is presented, in excellent agreement with the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.
Sequencing production on an assembly line using goal chasing and user defined algorithm
A. Mane,Saeid Nahavandi,Jingxin Zhang +2 more
- 01 Jan 2002
TL;DR: In this paper, the goal chasing algorithm and a user defined algorithm are used to sequence seats on the assembly line of an Australian automotive component company to assemble and deliver seats to customer on a just-in-time basis.
A marginalised Markov Chain Monte Carlo approach for model based analysis of EEG data
Imali Hettiarachchi,Shady Mohamed,Saeid Nahavandi +2 more
- 02 May 2012
TL;DR: A Bayesian approach for parameter estimation of the EEG model via a marginalized Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) approach is presented.
Particle trapping using dielectrophoretically patterned carbon nanotubes
Khashayar Khoshmanesh,Chen Zhang,Saeid Nahavandi,Francisco J. Tovar-Lopez,Sara Baratchi,Zheng Hu,Arnan Mitchell,Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the presence of MWCNT significantly changes performance of the system, which is investigated by trapping sample polystyrene particles with plain, COOH and goat anti‐mouse IgG surfaces.
