Polarization insensitive plasmonic perfect absorber with coupled antisymmetric nanorod array
Erdem Aslan,Erdem Aslan,Sabri Kaya,Sabri Kaya,Ekin Aslan,Ekin Aslan,Semih Korkmaz,Omer Galip Saracoglu,Mustafa Turkmen,Mustafa Turkmen +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a subwavelength plasmonic perfect absorber array with crucial properties including the dual-band absorption, high near-field enhancement with a large number of hot-spots, mass-production compatible design, high sensitivity, and polarization independency for both narrow and wide resonance bands is presented.

Adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference system models for computing the characteristic impedances of air-suspended trapezoidal and rectangular-shaped microshield lines
TL;DR: In this article, an adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) model is proposed to compute the characteristic impedances of air-suspended trapezoidal-shaped microshield lines (AS-TSMLs) and AS-RSMLs, and four optimization algorithms, hybrid learning, simulated annealing, genetic, and least squares, are used to determine optimally the design parameters of ANFIS.

MEMS Tunable Mid-Infrared Plasmonic Spectrometer
Thomas Stark,Matthias Imboden,Sabri Kaya,Alket Mertiri,Jackson Chang,Shyamsunder Erramilli,David J. Bishop +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an array of subwavelength holes in a gold film is suspended above a gold reflector, forming an interferometer cavity whose length can be modulated over a range of 1.7 to 21.67 μm using MEMS electrostatic actuation.

Dual-band plasmonic resonator based on Jerusalem cross-shaped nanoapertures
Arif E. Cetin,Arif E. Cetin,Arif E. Cetin,Sabri Kaya,Sabri Kaya,Alket Mertiri,Ekin Aslan,Shyamsunder Erramilli,Hatice Altug,Mustafa Turkmen +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a dual-resonant metamaterial based on subwavelength Jerusalem cross-shaped apertures has been proposed for a wide range of applications demanding multiple spectral features with strong near-field characteristics.

Artificial Neural Networks for Calculating the Characteristic Impedance of Air-Suspended Trapezoidal and Rectangular-Shaped Microshield Lines
TL;DR: In this article, neural models for calculating the characteristic impedance of air-suspended trapezoidal and rectangular-shaped microshield lines, based on the multilayered perceptrons (MLPs), are presented.
