TL;DR: In this article, the economic viability of integrated farming system (IFS) approach in comparison to the rice-wheat production systems prevalent in north Indian state of Punjab is evaluated and the authors suggest that extending the IFS further to the local farmers could serve as a light of prosperity for the real victims of the post-green revolution agrarian crisis in Punjab agriculture.
